Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan are teaming up for the first time to star in and produce an I Am Legend sequel. Avika Goldsman, who wrote the original screenplay, will also be back to write the sequel. The director is not known at this time. Francis Lawrence directed the original.
This is big news as rumors of a sequel/prequel to I Am Legend had been going on for years since the 2007 film came out. It will be interesting to see where they will go in this sequel.

It was released during the peak of Will Smith’s career and continued his streak of #1 box office hits. The film largely relied on Will Smith’s performance, since he was the lone survivor in the film, but it still earned $585 million worldwide.
